Szent-Györgyi Junior Mentor is one of the winners of the Lendület („Momentum”) Program of Hungarian Academy of Sciences

Tombacz DoraDr. Dóra Tombácz, senior lecturer of biology at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Szeged, is supported as one of the winners of the Momentum Program of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. It is used to study the effects of diet and sport on the microbiome and the functioning of human genes. The project is important because Hungary is one of the most obese countries in Europe, which is also associated with complex diseases. In addition to inherited factors, lifestyle is also responsible for their development.
Dóra Tombácz has been a Junior Mentor of the Szeged Academy of Sciences since 2019, she is currently involved in the scientific work of a Szent-Györgyi Student.
